Notice of Two Emergency Township Committee Meetings
Pursuant to NJSA 10:4-9, Waiver of Notice Requirement (Exceptions – Meeting of Public Body: Emergency Meeting) please find information below regarding the Township Committee of the Township of Cranford:
The Township Committee held two (2) emergency meetings by telephone conference on:
- Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 9:45 p.m.
- Monday March 16, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.
Both telephone conferences lasted approximately twenty (20) minutes.
Formal action was not taken at these meetings.
The only Agenda item for both meetings was: "Potential Emergency Measures in Response to COVID-19."
Pursuant to OPMA, these meetings were permitted despite not being noticed because it was "required in order to deal with matters of such urgency and importance that a delay . . . would likely result in substantial harm to the public interest." N.J.S.A. 10:4-9(b)(1).
