IMPORTANT UPDATE - MARCH 23, 2020

Due to the on-going, worldwide novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the municipal building is closed to visitors until at least April 6th, 2020. We will also be limiting staffing until at least April 6th in order to minimize exposure to the virus.

We understand that this may delay your project or permit processing at this time but we will continue to do the best that we can given the circumstances to keep this office open and functional.

The Office of Planning & Zoning reviews all applications for development to ensure they meet the requirements of the Township’s Land Development Ordinance. This includes all Zoning Permit Applications and all applications submitted to the Township’s Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment. The Office is also responsible for investigating violations of and enforcing the Land Development Ordinance.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and recommending amendments to the Land Development Ordinance;
  • Floodplain review;
  • Assisting the development of planning documents;
  • Creating new planning documents; and
  • Coordination with the Building Department, Engineering Department and the Downtown Management Corporation.
