F45 Training: Strong, Growing, & now in Downtown Cranford

If there’s one thing everyone can agree on, it’s that there aren’t enough hours in the day. That’s where F45 Training comes in. F45 Training, newly opened at 123 North Union Ave., offers 45-minute classes that provide customers with an efficient and engaging workout. The business originated in Australia and has currently grown to 1300 locations worldwide. The Cranford location is the first one in New Jersey and was started by Kerrie Espuga. Kerrie has always had a passion and love for fitness and was looking for a way she could tie that into her professional life. She heard about F45 and believed the concept would be a great fit for Cranford.

The F45 studio has been open for just over a week and the feedback has been phenomenal. In the first week, there were people who had already shown up six times. Classes run Monday-Saturday with morning and evening classes offered during the week, and in the morning on Saturdays. Each class has two certified trainers as well as TVs overhead that illustrate the correct form for each station. The workouts and stations are changed every day, and no workout is repeated. Though many of the studio members are new to the F45 family, some had previously taken part in workouts at other F45 studios throughout the world. One student currently drives to the Cranford location from West Milford because she had fallen in love with the workouts when she tried them out at another F45 Studio.

One of the main reasons Kerrie was excited about being a part of the F45 family was because she found the workouts so well-run. “It’s impossible to be bored while you’re engaging in the workout,” said Kerrie. “The class members are constantly motivating and cheering each other on which is so great to see.” Kerrie and one of the trainers, Kathy Sottosanti, stress that the workouts are appropriate for all skill levels. Those who take part range from people who are returning to exercise after a few years off, to those who would be considered athletes. Word of mouth is already spreading about the new business and we’re thrilled that downtown Cranford is the new home of this fitness phenomenon.
