Eye Level Learning Center Helps Students Grow and Learn

Eye Level Learning Center of Cranford opened downtown in 2013. In 2017, husband and wife Nirav and Shivanee Shukla took over the business. Nirav and Shivanee saw Eye Level as the perfect opportunity to combine their education backgrounds and desire to manage their own business.

Eye Level provides supplemental English and Math instruction for Kindergarten through high school students. Though many students come to Eye Level for help in these subject areas, the center also works with students who want to be challenged in their coursework. When children first come to Eye Level they’re assessed on their skills so the teachers know what their starting level is. Eye Level provides small classroom settings, usually with a 4-to-1 student to teacher ratio. Teachers provide the students with a customized program, with the eventual goal of having the students become independent learners.

Many of Eye Level’s customers have discovered the business due to word of mouth. Nirav and Shivanee also sponsor events throughout the community. “I love seeing the positive impact of my job,” said Shivanee. “Hearing from parents how their children have benefited from the program always brings a smile to my face.”
