Downtown Strategic Plan Meeting

The Downtown Management Corporation (DMC) Board invites the public to participate in a Strategic Planning process that will cover a variety of topics including pedestrian safety, public space improvements, development, and re-investment in the downtown. The meeting, which will be interactive rather than a presentation, is designed to engage the public in discussion about the many issues and opportunities for the downtown business district.

Throughout 2017, the DMC committee and staff met with various groups to gather input. These included Township Commissioners, Planning and Zoning Boards, Cranford Historic Preservation Committee, downtown business and property owners and Township department heads. The Downtown Strategic Plan is currently in draft form but a final report with recommendations will be sent to the Township Committee.

The meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7pm in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave.
