Reminders

  • Observe all posted rules
  • NO PROLONGED UNDERWATER SWIMMING or breath holding.
  • PLEASE wear appropriate footwear in the bathrooms and when entering/exiting the pool area.  
  • All patrons are REQUIRED to shower before entering the pool water.
  • No mermaid fins or other fin toys are premitted.
  • Members will not be permitted entry without a valid pool card.
  • No FOOD is permitted in the indoor pool area.
  • Patrons are required to shower before entering the pool and/or sauna.
  • Only bathing suits are permitted in the sauna.
  • Floatation devices such as "swimmies" are NOT premitted.  However, children are allowed to wear bathing suits with the floatation built into the suit OR you can borrow a life jacket from the facility!!
  • Hair shoulder length and longer MUST be pulled back.
  • Please exit the pools quickly when an air horn is sounded. This indicates an emergency.
  • Members and guests use facilities at their own risk.
  • Lightning policy—if it is determined there is thunder or lightning in the area, all pools will be required to close immediately. All pools and the areas surrounding the pools must be vacated. All pools will remain closed until 30 minutes past the last visible lightning strike or thunder.
  • Members and guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their valuables. The pool staff, aquatic department, advisory board members, township commissioners, and Township of Cranford will not be responsible for the loss of any items within the pool facilities.
  • Eating is allowed only at the tables in the Kiddy Pool area.  Please clean up after eating or this will be rescinded.
  • Members are responsible for their guests.
  • Guests are not permitted to enter facility unless with a member.
  • Parents are responsible for their children.
  • No DIVING into the pool at any time except during instructional time with a trained staff member.
  • Parents are not allowed on deck during swim lessons or swim practice.
  • Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult or a person 14 years of age or older to enter the facility. The adult is expected to remain within the facility as long as the children are in the facility.
  • Children 6 years of age and older are not allowed in the baby pools.
  • Children 5 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult while in the baby pools.
  • Any person having a communicable disease, open blisters or cuts, sores or inflamed nose, eyes, ears or mouth infections or any type of skin disease will be excluded from the pool area, fitness center and babysitting room.  A doctor's certificate of permission must be obtained by anyone who disagrees witht he decision of management.  Management continues to maintain the right of refusal.
  • Non-toilet trained children must wear rubber pants over their diaper; wearing only a swim diaper or disposable diaper is not permitted. No diapers are permitted in the main outdoor pool areas.
  • Alcoholic beverages and drugs are prohibited throughout the pool complex.
  • No smoking or e-cigarettes are allowed to be used in the facility.  Violators will be subject to a $250 or $1,000 fine.  
  • Gum chewing is prohibited throughout the pool complex.
  • Glassware (bottles, jars, etc.) is prohibited throughout the pool complex.
  • The interpretation and enforcement of this body of rules and regulations wil be the responsibility of the pool manager and/or assistants at all times.  Decisions and actions made necessary for circumstances not specifically covered herein will be at the discretion of the manager.
  • Lifeguards and facility staff are responsible for enforcing the rules and regulations.  Violations will be brought to the attention of the management staff who will take whatever action necessary to correct the situation.
